Poems & Scripture
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

When you see the sunset fair,
I am the scented evening air.
I am the joy of a task well done.
I am the glow of the setting sun.

I am the song that will never end.
I am the love of family and friend.
I am the child who has come to rest
In the arms of the Father who knows him best.

A Defining Moment/by Fred Schneider

A Defining Moment
Life is full of choices one must make
To choose what is right is a risk we all take.
Seldom in life does a person come along
Who to others can do very little wrong.
Brandon Vincent Nichols was such a man,
Willing to accept every detail of God’s plan.
Armed with a smile that could melt your heart,
And a gentleness in his character that set him apart.
He touched many lives in his twenty four years,
And now that he is gone, there will be many tears.
But Brandon would not want everyone to be sad,
He would ask you to be joyful for the life that you have had.
We all prayed that God would allow him to stay,
But Brandon’s defining moment was when he and God walked away.

Scripture

Therefore don't loose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away,
yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal
glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is
seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what
is unseen is eternal.
II Corinthians 4:16-18
